Treasured Recipes of San Francisco's Grand Victorians (1906-2006)

Commemorating the Centenial of the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake & Fire

In October of 2006 Catherine Horsfall and George Horsfall (owners of the Golden Bear Inns) co-authored and edited "Treasured Recipes of San Francisco's Grand Victorians" for the Victorian Alliance of San Francisco (available at Golden Bear Gift Shop as well as at major bookstores, online on the Amazon, Target, Pince-Nez Press and Walmart websites). 100% of the profits of the sale of this book (bought through the Alliance or through Golden Bear) go towards the preservation projects of the Victorian Alliance and education. 10% of all other sales go to these same projects. Thus far, some of the proceeds from this book have been put towards the restoratioin of the "Portals of the Past" in Golden Gate Park and towards the restoration of the Haas Lilienthal House.

Author and Filmaker, James Dallessandro has graciously signed a number of copies of his novel, "1906" and his documentary "The Damndest Finest Ruins" for sale to our guests. His novel. "1906" is currently being developed (James wrote the screenplay), for production in the near future. At this time Brad Pitt and Sean Penn are reportedly in negotiation for the leading roles.
