Sunday Oct 15, 2006 1-5 PM Victorian House Tour

1906-2006 "100 years along the Fireline in Pacific Heights"

The hosts at Golden Bear have been extremely instrumental in organizing this years house tour. The posters and other printed material were created by Golden Bear owner, George. They depict the tragic day 100 years ago when the great fire came within feet of the tour's lovely mansions.

This year features 8 Grand Dame Survivors of the 1906 earthquake and fire. Many of these homes have never been on tour before and represent some of San Francisco's finest and most elegant architecture. In the Victorian Alliance Gift shop at the Haas-Lilienthal House the new commemorative cookbook "Treasured Recipes of San Francisco's Grand Victorians" will be sold for $15.95. This book was edited and compiled by Golden Bear Owners George and Cathy. The book features house and neighborhood histories and original sketches of the homes and churches on the 2005 and 2006 house tours. Recipes are from the kitchens of each of these grand homes.
