San Francisco Bed & Breakfast Accommodations – North Beach/Telegraph Hill

This classic 1908 Edwardian is renowned for its architecture and elaborate paint job. It is not only featured in the book Painted Ladies Revisited but photos of this building can be found in many San Francisco guidebooks. Quite simply this location is without equal for tourists and business travellers who are visiting San Francisco without a car.

Rooms are furnished with heirloom antiques and designer linens. Leaded glass, built-in cupboards, silk-screened ceilings, tavertine marble and bent glass windows are but a few features found throughout this Inn. From many of our rooms, you can hear the distant bark of the sea lions on quiet, still, nights, the sound of the foghorn as the fog rolls through the gate in late spring and winter… And once in a great while, you can even hear the clang of the cable car bells passing far below on Columbus Avenue. Guests to this location return home with the taste of fresh coffee on their lips, the aroma of fine cooking in their noses, live jazz in their ears and fresh sea air in their lungs.

San Francisco Bed & Breakfast Accommodations – Postcard Row/Alamo Square

This famous home is one of the “Seven Sisters of Postcard Row” also known as the “Painted Ladies”. This row has become (along with the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz) synonymous with San Francisco. Most visitors associate these homes with the TV show Full House and with Tales of the City, Too Close for Comfort and a wide array of other films and advertisements. This Golden Bear property is available primarily for location filming, tea parties (for Golden Bear guests only), and small receptions, weddings and private parties. Given the scheduling demands as a special event venue, this property will rarely be open for overnight guests.

The entire home provides unparalleled photo opportunities for weddings. Some upstairs bedrooms are available for photos and pre-ceremony preparation. The garden provides a formal and intimate setting for small weddings.

The triple parlour is ideal for small receptions or parties limited to 12-20 persons maximum. We work with our own caterer and our own large modern kitchen. Rental rates vary according to the number of guests and amenities requested.

San Francisco Bed & Breakfast Accommodation – Pacific Heights/Upper Fillmore

This classic Italianate Victorian, built in the 1870s, features a large living room for guests to come home and relax after a day roaming the hills of San Francisco. Original fireplace mantles, the baby grand piano, 12 ceilings, Bradbury and Bradbury hand silk-screened ceilings, romantic antique sculpture and paintings, designer linens, bay windows and settees are a few of the features that guests remember most when returning home. This bed and breakfast is elegant but not stuffy, richly detailed yet void of clutter.

This is a great location for visiting our city… not only for those planning on walking but also for those who have a car. We have one parking space that we offer at no charge on a first-come-first-serve basis. On-street parking in this neighbourhood is quite easy and there also several inexpensive lots nearby.

Guests are delighted by the geographically central location of this Victorian Inn. It is situated at the gateway to San Francisco’s most elegant and beautiful neighbourhood: Pacific Heights. We are but steps from the chic Upper Fillmore Street boutiques and restaurants. Roam the neighbourhood and see the homes of some of San Francisco’s most famous citizens (ie. Danielle Steele or Nicholas Cage) or wander to the Fillmore Auditorium or the Jazz clubs of the Lower Fillmore where Billy Holiday, Fat’s Waller, and James Lee Hooker created a San Francisco legend. What is better after a long day exploring San Francisco than to stop at the nearby Kabuki hot springs spa for a massage or treatment? For those who want to enjoy the Victorians of San Francisco… you will have the best at your doorstep!

This property is convenient to several major bus lines taking you to all parts of the city and the convention area. Best of all… our guests are only five short blocks from the California Street Cable Car (the best line in the city as it takes you near Union Square, Moscone Center and Chinatown – and there is almost never a waiting line!)
